Inspired by the bomber flight jacket Maverick wears in the film, this Dunk High features a unique two-piece construction with a zipper enclosure at the heel. It was primarily created using a premium brown tumbled leather and a black lamb skin leather for the sockliners. The heel also features a Velcro nameplate and removable fur collar. In collaboration with Diversitile, exact patches from the jacket were hand-painted around each shoe. Made for my first art gallery exhibition, “A Few of our Favorite Things.”
